With 190 square metres of dedicated space for teenagers in its recent refurbishment, P&O's Pacific Pearl takes entertaining your kids on the family holiday very seriously.

As well as the Shark Shack, which caters to 7-10 year-olds, there are now two purpose-built teen clubs: HQ, for 11-14 year-olds, and HQ+, for 15-17 year-olds.

And unlike some ships, where children are tucked away in the bowels of the ship with no view of the outside world, the HQ Clubs feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows. When the 21 Playstations, cinema screen, dance floor, and surround sound system exhaust their interest, there's a whole ocean out there waiting to be noticed.

The Pacific Pearl commences her inaugural Sydney season from 3 February.
