Winner of multiple awards including Best New Musical 2011, this big screen favourite hits the stage in an all-dancing, all-star Australian cast spectacular.

Samantha Herbert enjoyed a toe-tapping, sing-along, up-close-and-personal-with-the-stars and 'crazy pink' evening at the Sydney Lyric.

"Elle Woods" with little fans - Legally Blonde The Musical

Legally Blonde the Musical is Crazy Bright Pink and so much fun. I can truly say I discovered the meaning of the fab and fantastic character of Elle Woods. We were even surrounded by a bevy of all-age adoring Elle Woods copycats in the crowd. This peppy musical had me laughing and toe tapping all the way through.

There is a riveting selection of quirky songs including “Oh my god you guys” to “Is he gay or European?” All hysterically funny, magically staged and perfectly complemented by the talents of the energetic backing cast.

Then there are the stars of the show. LOVE Rob Mills! Adore and fall over backwards at the all-encompassing talent of Lucy Durack as Elle.

When the much loved and still very handsome Cameron Daddo hit the stage as the smarmy Professor, there was spontaneous whistle from the audience. He winked in appreciation and had us all in the palm of his hand.

There wasn’t a dull moment with each actor commanding the audience’s love and attention however undoubtedly Bruiser, yes a real, adorable, scene stealing Chihuahua took the crowd's attention every time he trotted on stage. So Cute!

Before long I was laughing and singing, ‘oohing ‘and ‘ahhing’ and I know it sounds clichéd but I couldn’t help wanting to be Elle woods on her journey to find love, success and happiness.

An Out & About with Kids tip to put the icing on your fab evening - there is a Stage Door opportunity at the end of each performance!

Follow the signs to wait for your favourites to come out. Each of these engaging perfomers signed autographs and, picture-perfectly, had their photos taken with fan after pink-clad fan until everyone left with a happy smile. Yep, even yours truly was thrilled getting my photo taken with “Rob” and “Cameron.”

Although I’ve seen the movie at least a dozen times the excitement and surprises were endless, transforming the 2D into a 3D sensation. So for all of you Legally Blonde fans watch out for a night jam-packed with the cutest, pinkest most fast-paced fun you’ve seen in a while. And don’t forget to dress up in pink!
