Looking for new ways to entertain your children this school holidays? Queensland's Eden Gardens Carseldine and NSW's Eden Gardens, North Ryde have created some exciting spring gardening programs for 5-12 yr olds that are not only entertaining, but educational.

Super Succulents

This educational and hands on session will teach your mini-gardeners all about succulents, from different types of foliage to budding flowers and even some of the funny forms succulents take on. Participants will also learn how to pot succulents, grow them from pieces and create their very own succulent pot to take home.

Tuesday 25th September - 10-11:30am
Wednesday 26th September- 10:00-11:30 am
Cost: $16 per child, suitable for 5-12 year olds

Bush Creatures

This interactive session takes children on a bush walk through the garden. Little explorers will have an opportunity to discover the sights, sounds and smells of the garden world while on a garden safari and learn all about the bush creatures that live in these green habitats. A creative activity will allow children to create a model animal and learn how to pot-up a plant habitat to take home.

Crawly Things to Beautiful Wings

Did you know that insects are all around us, especially in the garden? In this fascinating session Eden Gardens helps children discover the wonderful world of biodiversity. Participants will learn about the lifecycles of garden creepy-crawlies and how some can transform into beautiful butterflies. In a creative crafting section, children are encouraged to use their artistic flare to create their very own butterfly and learn how to pot-up a mini flower garden to take home.

Tuesday 2nd October - 10-11:30am, suitable for 5-7 year olds
Tuesday 4th October - 10-11:30am, suitable for 5-7 year olds
Thursday 4th October - 12:30-2pm, suitable for 8-12 year olds
Cost: $16 per child

Plants from Pips & Pieces

In this educational session Eden Gardens will teach children how to select and cut fresh plants, how to properly grow seeds and enjoy spending time with nature. Children can take home their potted seedlings and are encouraged to use their new gardening skills to create their own green oasis at home.

Little Green Thumbs

This seasonal program allows toddlers and parents to explore the fascinating world of gardens, plants and flowers. The interactive hour-long session includes fun games, crafts and gardening activities for both children and parents. Watch your mini gardeners get creative in the garden while growing new family memories together at Eden Gardens.

Cost: $12 per child, suitable for 3-5 year olds, who must be accompanied by an adult.
