Little Green Thumbs get up close and personal with nature at Sydney's Eden Gardens
Sydney's Eden Gardens is offering four fun-filled Summer programs to get kids out of the house and into the garden these holidays. From discovering the mystery of prehistoric flora to creating their own backyard herb and veggie patch, these programs are ideal for inquisitive kids, future foodies and budding green thumbs alike.

Prehistoric Pine

The Wollemi Pine dates back to the time of the dinosaurs and is one of the world’s oldest plants. Let the kids take a journey through time as they learn from experts about one of the world’s rarest prehistoric plants, and then make their own souvenir fossil flora from ancient-looking ferns and cycads.
Cost: $16 per child

Mini Beast Magic

Let the little ones explore all aspects of the garden with Mini Beast Magic where they can get up close and personal with creepy crawlies, learn about flora and fauna and pot-up a gorgeous, bright marigold or petunia. An informative, fun session, Mini Beast Magic will give kids the knowledge they need to appreciate garden bugs and let them take their potted plant home to attract their own insect wonders.
Cost: $16 per child

We Grow, We Eat

Kids can learn how to create their very own edible backyard and learn the benefits of eating what they reap during this educational, interactive session. With the chance to get their hands dirty and plant dietary staples including lettuce, carrot, rosemary and oregano, junior foodies will be pleased to take home the fruits of their labour, and maybe even start their own veggie patch.
Cost: $16 per child

Little Green Thumbs

An ideal introduction into the world of gardening, Little Green Thumbs lets toddlers (and their dad or mum) explore the fascinating world of plants. Fun and educational, Little Green Thumbs boasts games, craft and toddler-friendly gardening activities and is suited to 3-5 year olds and their adult companions.
$12 per child

Program sessions run for 5-7yr olds and 8-12yr olds (unless otherwise stated) throughout January. For more information, including bookings, please call Eden Gardens on 02 9491 9900 or email info@edengardens.com.au.
