Set amongst 65 hectares of Australian native bushland, the AIS campus is an integrated and vibrant tourism, sporting and retail precinct welcoming more than 500,000 Australian and overseas visitors annually.

Go behind the scenes of the AIS Campus on an award-winning AIS Tour. During the 90 minute guided tour, visitors might catch some of Australia’s top athlete’s in training as they walk through some of the world class facilities including the AIS Arena, gymnastics centre, volleyball hall, strength and conditioning gym and the high performance testing and training pool.

Visitors can challenge themselves, their friends and family in the newly renovated and revamped Sportex, one of Australia’s leading interactive sports exhibits, set amongst a unique collection of Australian sporting memorabilia. Sportex is an educational and engaging sports experience where visitors can try wheelchair basketball, virtual downhill skiing, rock climbing, football penalty shootouts, and more. Best of all, Sportex is included free as part of every AIS Tour.

Public tours run daily 10.00am, 11.30am, 1.00pm and 2.30pm. AIS Tours are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday.

Visitors can also dive into our world-class swimming pool or try out our fully equipped gym in the AIS Aquatic & Fitness Centre. Check the ExperienceAIS website for lane availability. Fees apply.

The AIS Campus is only 8 minutes’ drive from Canberra CBD and offers plenty of free car and coach parking.

The AIS was recently recognised at the 2017 Canberra Region Tourism Awards, winning Specialised Tourism Services, as well as receiving a Commendation for International Ready.
