What is the Aloha Passport for kids and how does it work? It is an amenity program that is free for all children 12 years and younger at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel in Maui.
The first stop is to come and meet the Ho’okipa (hospitality) department, where kids will receive their Aloha Passport. At each of the twelve destinations, children get to take part in activities that are both educational and fun. After experiencing the entertainment, they will get their passport stamped and receive a free amenity for each destination. Infants – 3yrs receive a passport card with their personalised Hawaiian name and a baby bucket full of goodies.
Kaanapali Beach Hotel offers a variety of complimentary Hawaiian activities daily, allowing you to have fun and immerse yourself in the Hawaiian culture. These activities are offered to all ages and are great for family-time learning, bonding and enjoyment.
In addition to traditional activities like hula dancing, ukulele lessons and lei making, there are new activities at Hale Hoʻokipa and Hale Huakaʻi (beach activity center), including Kaula (Cordage), ‘Ohe Hano Ihu (Bamboo Nose Flute), ʻOhe Kāpala (Bamboo Printing), Pū ‘ohe (Bamboo Trumpet), and ‘Upena Kīloi (Throw-Net). With the addition of these new activities, the hotel is ensuring that guests have a full ahupuaʻa experience from the mountains to the sea.
