Club Med Phuket resort to reopen in Thailand

Club Med Phuket in Thailand is set to reopen in March with an “upscale beach club twist” after undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation. The revamped resort, which is located on Kata Beach, will include a redesigned pool with colourful Thai umbrellas, four designated themed zones for kids, adults, activities and leisure, and a sun deck overlooking the Andaman Sea. Guests can also take part in a range of family-friendly activities, including Thai boxing lessons and cooking classes, and choose from excursions such as exploring the colonial buildings of Phuket Town and the Phi Phi and James Bond Islands. There will also be weekly Thailand Days dedicated to celebrating Thai culture, featuring with local performances and activities such as Thai markets around the pool, local arts and crafts artisans, and buffet spreads featuring popular Thai dishes. Guests can also dine on authentic cuisine from a street food cart in the evenings.

Families are at the heart of Club Med Phuket

Shortly after the reopening, the resort will be launching an Amazing Family! Corner, offering a series of localised activities, while an an all-new Magic Tribe show will be an immersive visual performance that takes the audience on an emotional journey with the use of electronic screens, sound, and light. 

Club Med CEO for the East and South Asia and Pacific markets, Rachael Harding, said reconnecting with family members had become a priority for people who missed out on important occasions and celebrations during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Families are at the heart of Club Med Phuket and the refreshed facilities and offerings will enable us to create better experiences and hassle-free holidays for every member of the family,” she said. “The newly renovated Club Med Phuket creates new opportunities for reunion through cultural immersion, local gastronomic experiences and carefully curated tropical adventures, right in the heart of Thai vibrancy.”

Close to Phuket International Airport

The resort, which is around 45 minutes’ drive from Phuket International Airport, is also introducing the new Tropical Nomad Lifestyle concept. Guests can enjoy a Tropical Pool Party and pick up new skills from a variety of workshops, with a new entertainment set-up for the evenings.
