Disney Magic in Tokyo

Disney TokyoDisney lovers visiting Tokyo can now head to the re-opened Tokyo Disneyland Park and Tokyo DisneySea, with both theme parks offering a jam-packed programme of activities and new attractions.

Visitors to Tokyo Disneyland Park can walk through Cinderella’s new Fairy Tale Hall in Cinderella’s Castle and also check out the return of the now-permanent Captain EO attraction – the 1986 3D musical space adventure starring Michael Jackson, produced by George Lucas, and directed by Francis Ford Coppola with amazing light and sound effects.

From July Tokyo Disneyland will host Tanabata, the Japanese star festival. Guests can write their wishes on cards to be hung at the Wishing Place in World Bazaar where there will be a grand centrepiece shaped like Mickey Mouse. Mickey and Minnie will also greet guests dressed as Hikoboshi and Orihime, the two star-crossed lovers of this festival. At night guests can enjoy the Dreamlights parade, with the Genie, Aladdin and Jasmine from Aladdin, plus Tinker Bell, Woody and Buzz!

And the theme of this year’s summer programmes is pirates – look out for ‘pirate’ Goofy stirring up trouble. And head to Adventureland which will be decorated in theme with Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. www.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/en/
