As Fairgrounds Festival celebrates its 5th birthday this December, the small NSW South Coast village of Berry is set to ignite with the biggest line-up yet. Former Oasis frontman, Liam Gallagher, is headlining the bill, with other big names such as Meg Mac, DMAs and The Lemonheads also performing.
Catering to adults and kids alike, Fairgrounds is bringing all its favourite features back in force. Think refreshing dips in the festival swimming pool, uncovering treasures at the market stalls and kid-friendly sack races at Games on the Green. And don’t forget devouring fresh oysters and champagne while listening to Kasey Chambers, Julia Jacklin and Angus Stone’s new project “Dope Lemon”.
Little Fairgrounds is a festival within a festival designed specifically for kids and their music-loving parents. Aside from music by the punk-rock band Bunny Racket and ABC Kids’ superstars The Sticker Club, there’ll be amazing activities, fun games and interactive workshops for young and old.
Fairgrounds has just announced its first-ever Youth Ticket. This includes reduced prices for festival entry, camping and shuttles for kids 13-17 years old if they’re in the company of a parent or guardian. Added to that are affordable prices for kids aged 12 and under so your family festival experience doesn’t cost a fortune.
When it’s time to hit the hay, Fairgrounds’ official campsite, Rivercamp, is ready to welcome you. It’s nestled on a scenic woodland riverbank, just perfect for those wanting a refreshing early-morning swim. There is a range of camping options available, including pitch-your-own tents, pre-assembled tent and bedding packages, as well as a luxury bell tent experience complete with mattress, goose down pillows, quilt, rugs and lanterns. Whether you’re camping with the family or an extended group of friends, there’s a campsite waiting. And the best part? Rivercamp is just five minutes by complimentary shuttle bus to the Fairgrounds Festival.
Berry and her surrounds boast plenty of places to stay, ranging from cabins in Gerringong to beach shacks in Shoalhaven. Shuttles will be running to the Fairgrounds Festival from various locations, so check the website for more info!
What are you waiting for? Pack your picnic rug and get ready to settle down on the luscious green lawns of the Berry Fairgrounds and celebrate the first days of summer in style.
