Australia’s Gold Coast continues to offer action packed days and fun filled nights for families, as the City serves up more attractions and venues than any other destination in the southern hemisphere.
With the onset of the warmer springtime weather, South Stradbroke Island provides the perfect campsite venue, offering calm inner waterways on one side, virtually untouched native bushland in the centre, and on the other side, 22 kilometres of pristine surf beach with hardly a soul in sight. Choose one of the more remote sites or you can locate yourself close to amenities which include gas barbecues; children’s play area and on-site kiosk. Book through Gold Coast Tourist Parks
There are also some major events taking place over coming weeks and months, in particular Village Roadshow Theme Parks have joined forces with Nickelodeon to bring the world’s first-ever SpongeBob SquarePants parade to Sea World on the Gold Coast this summer. A large-scale attraction for fans of all ages, the parade will be developed exclusively for Sea World by the creative team behind SpongeBob SquarePants and will feature key characters and design elements from the hugely popular animated series.
Also of interest will be the Gold Coast’s Pet and Animal Expo weekend on 17-18 September at Robina. The Expo will have in excess of 50 exhibitors with displays and exhibitions including pet photography, grooming and the latest in accessories and advice on how to care for your pet’s health.
Dreamworld will again be supporting the Family Zone during the Armor All Gold Coast 600 motorsports spectacular on 21-23 October. The Dreamworld Family Zone will have great attractions and entertainment throughout the weekend where the kids will be able to mix Dreamworld characters and a number of special guests.
