New Beyond Skyway experience at Scenic World, NSW Blue Mountains

Adventurous families can soar to new heights with this exciting new experience soaring over the Jamison Valley.

The new Scenic World Skyway

Offering majestic views across the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, Scenic World’s Skyway has long been one of the most popular family-friendly attractions near Sydney. But the experience is being elevated that little bit higher with the launch of Beyond Skyway, an exclusive, after-hours adventure that is one to add to the family bucket list. It’s suitable for families with children aged 10 years of age (or 40kg) and up who are at least 1.47 metres tall.

Jamison Valley views

Once the crowds have headed home for the day, you and your family will board one of Skyway’s cable cars and journey to the middle of the Jamison Valley where you will stop, suspended 270 metres above the ancient rainforest. With the help of their highly experienced crew (and fitted with a full-body harness), you’ll climb up through the cable car’s hatch to picnic on the rooftop.

From here, you’ll be treated to 360-degree views taking in the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls and Mount Solitary as the setting sun ignites the sky around you. Settle into one of the custom wooden seats with a mocktail or a mug of hot chocolate in hand and listen to the birdlife calls ringing across the Blue Mountains.

A family travel experience to suit all adventure levels

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can hang your feet over the rooftop edge or safely lean out for an adrenalin-pumping perspective of the valley floor below. With no glass windows, walls or fences between you and your surroundings, this is an opportunity to connect with nature like never before.

In addition to a celebratory glass of champagne on the return journey for parents, the Beyond Skyway experience includes digital photos capturing your family on top of the world.

Bookings are essential, with numbers strictly limited to 16 people per evening, with a maximum of four in each cable car.
