Sydney Olympic Park Authority and Auburn City Council will present a ripper of an event on Australia Day 2013 from 12noon – 9.00pm at beautiful Bicentennial Park at Sydney Olympic Park. There will be a smorgasbord of food stalls, sheep shearing, whip cracking, sheep dog trial shows, an animal farm, kangaroo characters, pony and amusement rides, face-painting, kids’ acts, Indigenous dance and art workshops, a community bazaar and craft stalls.
On the main stage watch the Aboriginal dance ceremony, colonial dance performance, music by the Tuckitinya Bush Band, a modern Australiana-themed dance act by the Whiz Kidz, the hilarious Leo Bonne’s Kids’ Circus and Magic Show as well as the Bollywood Sensations.
From 6.35pm, the Rhythms of Polynesia drum and dance group and the beats and dance of African group, Chosani Afrique, will get energy-levels up high, before an Aussie rock covers show by the Stingybark band fires-up the crowd for a spectacular fireworks finale to the celebrations at 8.50pm – and there’s So much more!
