This is a festival that emphasizes participation, focusing on the Child as the Artist. The program is a mixture of performance, workshops, exhibitions, tangible experiences and special events.
The focus at Sydney Children’s Festival is on encouraging community participation, and inspiring creativity and imagination in children (and the child in all of us!).
It is designed for all kids up to the age of 12 to participate in with their families. Everyone can take part in theatre, circus, visual arts, storytelling, music, film, creative sustainability and dance activities.
Over 75% of the entire program is FREE, all tickets are classed as low cost.
Sydney Children's Festival runs across the September/October School Holidays, 2011 across five Sydney and greater Sydney venues. Festival open hours varies at each of the five venues as follows:

Polyglot Theatre's City of Riddles
City of Riddles is a 360-degree interactive theatre experience requiring hands-on participation from its audience, who are surrounded by puzzles they must solve and instructions they must follow. Unlike anything you’ve seen before, City of Riddles is above, below and all around you.
