Fiji is open from December 1 to fully vaccinated travellers
We were excited when Fiji’s Prime Minister announced that after nearly two years of being closed, the borders will open to international visitors wanting a slice of Fijian happiness from December 1, 2021.
Fiji Airways joined the party, announcing that flights to the South Pacific paradise will officially resume for fully vaccinated international travellers. The first commercial flight from Australia to Fiji since March 2020 is scheduled to depart Sydney on the morning of December 1 with 14 flights a week from Sydney (twice a day). Daily flights from Melbourne and Brisbane are also scheduled to start. For information about flight and package deals head to fijiairways.com
All Fijian hospitality workers will be vaccinated by November
Essential information about travel to Fiji
Entry requirements will be in place to ensure the utmost safety of both visitors and locals. These include being a fully vaccinated traveller from a “Travel Partner” country (defined as one with high vaccination rates and low-test positivity rates, such as Australia), providing a negative PCR test taken less than 3 days prior to departure from home country, and fulfilling any obligation to take an additional test before returning home, based on individual home country requirements. Unvaccinated children under the age of 18 can travel to Fiji accompanied by a vaccinated adult. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
