Hand feed wild dolphins as they come into shore each night at dusk. Sail out to beyond the northern tip of the island where, during the winter months (June to October), you’ll witness the migration of the mighty humpback whales. Follow the coastline on a Marine Discover Cruise, where our marine biologist will go in search of the dugongs that call Moreton Bay home. Or head up to the Tangalooma Wrecks that are just waiting for you to discover them. There are lots of fish and marine creatures that call the wrecks home and you will love being part of their world.
There’s also plenty of ways to experience being on the water, too – parasailing, kayaks, dinghies, banana boat rides, fish feeding cruises and snorkelling and diving at the Tangalooma Wrecks.
Moreton Island is 98 per cent designated National Park so wherever you venture, there is always something astonishing to see and do. Guided or go-it-alone 4WD tours will take you to remote places where the terrain is untouched. Visit clear, freshwater lakes or the old lighthouse perched on the northern tip.
From the resort you have the choice of more than 80 activities to amuse and entertain you every minute of the day. The desert safari will take you up to the sand hills where you can take on the slopes with a sand toboggan, or ride the ridges on a quad bike tour. Play tennis, swim, Segway along the beach or simply take a walk, revitalise your mind and body with a luxurious massage, bask in the sun and soak up the relaxed island lifestyle.
