The Sanctuary Cove Christmas Carnival transforms the Marina into a festive wonderland of sparkling fairy lights, stunning decorations, roving entertainers and a raft of free entertainment, until 20 December.
With activities running daily from 11am to 2pm, children will delight in the free Christmas fun, including ‘reindeer’ (pony) rides, Village train and ferry rides, an animal farm, face painting and jumping castles.
There are daily appearances from the big man himself and on Saturday 19 December 19 enjoy a special open-air Christmas movie screening at Sanctuary Cove’s cinema under the stars, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
Christmas in Surfers Paradise brings all the magic of the season to the precinct in a free family-friendly entertainment spectacular. Running until Thursday 24 December, Santa and his elf helpers will be in Cavill Mall each day for FREE family photos between 12pm and 3pm, and 4pm and 7pm, and kids can express post their Christmas wish lists to the North Pole.
Roving entertainers, including acrobatic elves and cheerful carollers lend a special element of holiday cheer, delighting crowds with their daily antics.
Carols on the Beach is also returning to Surfers Paradise on Sunday 20 December. Hosted by Charli Robinson and featuring some of the country’s most talented performers, the stage spectacular will be headlined by kids’ favourite Blinky Bill and Mitchell Steele from The Voice. Santa will be guest of honour at the event, while a fireworks finale will light the skies from a special ocean barge at 8pm.
