Just in time for school holidays the National Gallery of Victoria, in collaboration with Melbourne artist Jon Campbell, will open just sing what you feel, a contemporary art project created for children and families.This three-part installation of music and visual art invites children and families to create their own DIY backyard experience using Campbell’s colourful drawings of everyday outdoor items including deck chairs, BBQs or plants.The more vocal visitors can sing a duet with Campbell in interactive karaoke booths. Children watch, listen, sing along to and record Campbell’s yeah, yeah, yeah song.

Head to the Frankston Waterfront from December 26th to see the incredible sand sculptures in this year’s Under The Sea-themed exhibition. Free for the whole family, there will also be kids activities and workshops, Lego Play Zone, entertainment and face painting.
Get the kids busy making groovy art at workshops in Malvern, North Balwyn and Essendon. For ages 4-14, workshops run from 10-12pm and 1-3pm and include January 21, Fairy Canvas; January 23, Where I Live; January 24, Castle Creations and January 25, Croc Swamp.
It’s FREE to drop in for kids between 4 and 12 years and join in the fun from January 14-25 between 11am-2pm. Growing Wild is the new, interactive exhibit at Melbourne Zoo and it’s all about play.
