Brisbane's Annual Children's Festival, Powerkids, will take over New Farm Park until July 5 with hands-on activities including origami and puppetering, plus stage shows to fill the festival program.

The State Library of Queensland is kicking off its annual creative workshops again that run until July 5 with a showcase on July 6.
Story Lab encourages children to use their imagination and create stories using more than just words. Young creatives aged 9 to 17 years old are invited to step into the Story Lab and explore the world of storytelling through music.
The day-long workshop series runs from 10am-4pm each day and all materials are supplied.

Take the whole family and explore nature at the annual Garden Expo. Kids will have great fun visiting the Living Backyard and the landscape garden displays. There's a giant Kitchen Garden where children can learn about the food we eat from the ground to the table, gardening experts on hand and so much more.
Be entertained by stilt walkers, musicians and street performers and soak up the atmosphere. There is also lots of free entertainment for the children, including a free children's playground with a giant slide, air castle and merry-go-round. Be sure to catch 2 free shows daily on Saturday and Sunday with activities for kids of all ages.
